Throws a pitch at her LLWS game
This girl proves that playing like a girl is good thing. Thirteen year old girl Mo'ne Davis's performance at the 2014 Little League World Series has amazed millions! This years LLWSwas a hit for Mo'ne Davis. She was one of the two girls in this tournament, but not the first ever. In fact she is the 8th girl overall, 6th to get a hit, and 4th American girl. She is the very first girl to win a game and pitch a shutout in LLWS history. Davis is known for her incredible pitching. Her pitch clocked at 70mph is the equivalent reaction time to a 93mph pitch on a full sized mlb diamond.
The Popular Player
This baseball player is very popular. The media frenzy has been at levels of near hysteria! The television rating for her games in the Little League World Series have been higher than for most MLB games. Mo'ne is pitching against boys and striking them out in large numbers. This is displaying a lot of talent and poise.
Mo'ne has become the first Little Leaguer the grace the national cover of Sports Illustrated. The 5'4, 111 pound eighth grader has not only taken the Little League World Series by storm, but also has captured the nations attention. She's a lot of things to a lot of different people, all of them good things: a totem for inner-city baseball, a role model to your 10 year old daughter, but most of all she's a laid-back kid just having a really good time (Sports Illustrated August 2014). Davis said "This experience has been amazing, I never expected to be a role model to the world or even on a magazine cover at the age of thirteen". She is an incredible baseball player and clearly deserved this cover. The magazine that Davis was out to the majority of the country, while a few received a different one.
(CBC news "sports science" explains how she can pitch like she does)
Davis Dominates on the Basketball Court TooMo'ne Davis is not only a baseball star but a basketball star too. Davis actually told the Wall Street Journal that she eventually wants to play point guard for Connecticut's women's basketball team. Based on some clips she may have a real future in basketball. In the clips she sent her opponent stumbling on his backside after a lightning-quick crossover, and being a true point guard she kicked the ball out to an open teammate. The coach from the Connecticut's basketball team called Mo'ne to congratulate her on her great LLWS carreer.

Her Future
Mo'ne has a big and bright future ahead of her. Whether it be on a basketball court or a baseball diamond. If you don't see her in the 2019 mlb draft you definitely won't miss her in the 2020 women's open. Her performance has earned her a place in the baseball hall-a-fame, where you will find the jersey she wore when she pitched the two-hit shutout. Davis has inspired many people about many different things. She is amazing at everything she has and I'm sure will do. I don't think this is the last we've seen of Mo'ne Davis, do you?
